Hayman's Old Tom is a faithful recreation of the sweeter, gentler gin style. The liquorice richness with juniper authority and warm baking spices is lovely. At 40% it's gentle enough for cocktails.

The liquorice and sweet citrus peel are pleasant, and the juniper authority is decent at 40%, but I find the overall profile lacks the complexity of some other Old Toms. The nutmeg and cinnamon are quite subtle. A good introduction to the Old Tom style without much to get excited about.
