The Ultimate Juniper Gin
If juniper is what you love about gin, this is your holy grail. Never Never have created the definitive juniper-forward London Dry at 43%. Three times the juniper, three times the pleasure. Extraordinary.
24 October 2025Powerhouse Navy Strength
At 57% this is a beast but a remarkably refined one. The linden flowers add a honeyed floral note that tempers the heat beautifully. The cardamom and lemon zest play off each other brilliantly.
8 March 2026Floral and elegant
The rose petal persistence on the finish is really beautiful. Grapefruit citrus keeps things from getting too sweet, and the coriander spice adds backbone. Victoria Distillers have crafted something genuinely enjoyable.
1 November 2025The ocean in a glass
There's a subtle saline quality here that must come from the Sea of Japan water. It pairs gorgeously with the yuzu and bitter orange. At 45% this London Dry is crisp, clean, and utterly compelling.
16 October 2025Honeyed Old Tom
The noble rot botrytis imparts a gorgeous honeyed, apricot quality to this Old Tom at 42% ABV. It's sweeter than most gins but the 2020 vintage character gives it real distinction.
13 February 2026Juniper Taken to Eleven
Never Never have created the ultimate juniper expression. Three different juniper treatments give this London Dry an incredible depth and resinous complexity. At 43% it's absolutely glorious.
16 March 2026Past Its Best
While historically interesting, this 1970s Booth's at 40% has lost some vibrancy over the decades. The juniper core remains but the overall profile feels a bit flat and one-dimensional now.
6 February 2026Garden Party Gin
This tastes like an English country garden. The elderflower is fragrant and the gooseberry adds a lovely sharp edge. At 40% ABV it's light and approachable.
27 November 2025Brilliant Barrel-Aged gin
The caramel sweetness from the oak works beautifully with the juniper spice. Citrus brightness from the lemon and orange peel cuts through the richness. The long finish with oak tannins is deeply satisfying.
24 January 2026Lemon done properly
Unlike many citrus gins that use artificial flavouring, Malfy's Amalfi lemon is genuine and vibrant. The sweet lemon oil with iris earthiness creates real depth. The cassia warmth is a lovely touch.
25 October 2025Bold Botanical Choices
Using Veltliner grapes and saffron is a brave move and it pays off handsomely. There's a richness and warmth here that sets it apart from typical London Drys. The 44.7% ABV supports it well.
17 January 2026Herefordshire in a glass
Chase's rhubarb and apple at 40% captures the English countryside. The tartness meets sweetness perfectly, the potato spirit is silky, and the Flavoured gin style feels authentic rather than gimmicky. Field-to-bottle excellence.
5 March 2026Ethical but middling flavour
Sacred's B-Corp certification is commendable and the vacuum distillation at 40% produces a clean spirit. But the flavour profile of this London Dry is quite gentle — the juniper lacks assertiveness and the botanicals feel restrained. Good ethics, average gin.
11 December 2025Distinctive and Smooth
What sets Mermaid apart is the rock samphire — it gives this London Dry at 42% a subtle saline, coastal quality. Combined with the smooth spirit and bright citrus, it's a distinctive pour.
1 January 2026Unique and Refined
You won't find another gin like Ki No Tea. The Japanese tea influence at 45.1% ABV adds layers of flavour that are subtle, complex, and completely original. A sophisticated sipper.
4 April 2026An Absolute Masterpiece
Edinburgh Cannonball is the benchmark for Navy Strength gin in my book. At 57.2% it's extraordinarily powerful yet astonishingly smooth. The depth of flavour is staggering. Worth every penny.
19 October 2025A masterclass in modern gin
This Contemporary gin from Archie Rose is extraordinary. Every botanical earns its place — the blood lime, dorrigo pepper, river mint, and lemon myrtle create a symphony of flavour. The long, distinctive finish is unforgettable. Worth every penny.
10 October 2025English Country Gin
A London Dry that evokes the Sussex downs. At 43.2% it's well-structured with a pleasant balance of juniper, herbs, and gentle citrus. Unpretentious and well-made.
15 November 2025Devilishly brilliant gin
Devil's Botany at 40% is a London Dry that punches well above expectations. The botanical blend is devilishly clever — clean juniper with perfectly judged supporting players. The dry finish is immaculate. Don't let the modest ABV fool you — this gin has real depth and character. Outstanding.
27 October 2025A Piece of Gin Heritage
This 1958 Booth's Finest is among the most remarkable gins I've ever tasted. At 40% ABV the London Dry style has been preserved in a time capsule of juniper, spice, and elegance. Absolutely priceless.
