Tasting Notes

Nose

Sweet herbal with vanilla, tree bark, coriander and thyme — silky and inviting

Palate

Silky slightly oily mouthfeel — dry, spicy and herbal with juniper and light woodiness, vanilla sweetness with grassy coriander, the six years in dual casks adding remarkable complexity

Finish

Angelica, coriander and nutty balsawood — lingering pine with the authority of six years' ageing

Expert Review

8/10

Only Bols may use the Corenwyn name — at least 51% malt wine, aged six years in French Limousin and American oak. Sweet herbal vanilla with pine and balsawood. Created by Lucas Bols himself in 1575.
