7.9/10

A 1970s own-label London Dry from The Wine Society — juniper-driven, unsweetened, and very much a product of its era. At £99.95, it sits squarely in collector territory, earning 7.9/10 for provenance and period character.

The unsweetened designation tells you everything about the era. This is gin stripped back to its essentials — juniper, dry spice, and clean spirit. A 1970s classic.

As a historical curiosity it's fascinating, but I found some of the botanical vibrancy had faded after all these decades. The juniper core remains but the supporting cast has diminished somewhat.

A fascinating glimpse into 1970s gin-making. The unsweetened style is bone-dry and juniper-forward, just as a London Dry should be. Remarkable that it holds up this well at 40%.
