Whitley Neill Blood Orange Gin
Flavoured 43% ABV ABV City of London DistilleryNegroni Heaven
This gin was born for a Negroni. The blood orange amplifies the Campari, the juniper holds its own against sweet vermouth, and at 43% ABV it's got enough backbone. The bittersweet finish is extraordinary.
Orange Overpowers
The blood orange is certainly vivid but it dominates the other botanicals at 43%. The cassia bark and coriander are barely perceptible beneath the citrus. Well made for a flavoured gin but I miss the complexity.
Authentic Citrus Character
The blood orange is genuine and vivid — nothing artificial about it. The angelica root and coriander provide earthy depth while the cassia bark adds gentle spice. At 43% it's a well-structured flavoured gin.
Blood Orange Brilliance
Whitley Neill's blood orange is vivid, tangy, and authentically citrusy. The assertive mid-palate juniper keeps it grounded and the cassia-coriander spice adds warmth. At 43% ABV the Campari-like bittersweet finish is sublime.
Bittersweet Perfection
The blood orange peel bitterness is what makes this special — it's tart and tangy rather than sweet. The juniper asserts itself on the mid-palate and the cassia bark adds cinnamon warmth. Properly good at 43%.
Best Blood Orange Gin
Whitley Neill have set the standard for blood orange gin. The vivid citrus, assertive juniper, warm cassia-coriander spice, and that gorgeous Campari-like bittersweet finish at 43% — it's absolutely flawless. No other blood orange gin comes close.
Sunset in a Glass
The gorgeous ruby colour and vibrant blood orange flavour make this a showstopper. Bright, tangy citrus with proper juniper backbone and warm cassia spice. At 43% ABV it's impressive in a G&T.
