Curiosity piece more than great drink

Interesting to taste a 1950s gin from the Adriatic coast at 45%. The London Dry has character but the decades have dulled some of the botanical vibrancy. Worth trying for the history but do not expect fireworks.

Rare Italian vintage

A 1950s Vlahov Dry Gin is an unusual find. At 45% this London Dry from Croatia (then Yugoslavia) has a fascinating character — rich, slightly sweet, and very different from British gins of the same era.

Dalmatian juniper quality

Vlahov likely used local Dalmatian juniper in this 1950s London Dry at 45%. The juniper character is rich and aromatic with a distinctive Mediterranean quality. A rare glimpse into Adriatic gin-making.

Yugoslav gin heritage

This 1950s Vlahov at 45% is a beautiful piece of Dalmatian spirit history. The London Dry style has aged gracefully with deep juniper and a smooth, slightly resinous character. Utterly fascinating.

Vintage from the Adriatic

This 1950s Vlahov at 45% offers a unique perspective on London Dry gin from the Adriatic coast. The botanicals have mellowed beautifully and the juniper has a distinctive local quality.

A collector's dream gin

This 1950s Vlahov at 45% is one of the rarest and most interesting vintage gins I have encountered. The Dalmatian London Dry character is rich, complex, and beautifully preserved. An extraordinary piece of gin history.
