The Lakes Gin
London Dry 46% ABVCumbrian craft excellence
The Lakes Distillery continues to impress. At 46% their gin has excellent body and a well-judged botanical profile. Juniper, citrus, and local botanicals work in harmony. Well worth seeking out.
England's finest landscape gin
Made in the Lake District, this London Dry at 46% is as beautiful as its surroundings. Juniper leads with wonderful herbal and fruity supporting notes. A gin that tells a story of place.
Strong and characterful
At 46% The Lakes Gin has real presence. The London Dry profile is well-balanced with a slightly wild, herbal character that feels authentically Cumbrian. Lovely in a G&T with a sprig of thyme.
Good but rides on location
A perfectly decent London Dry at 46% but I wonder if some of the enthusiasm for this gin comes from the Lake District branding rather than the liquid itself. It is good but not quite as remarkable as the hype suggests.
Lake District in a bottle
The Lakes Gin captures something of the English Lake District in its botanical profile. At 46% this London Dry has lovely herbal complexity with juniper and bilberry notes. Beautiful provenance and flavour.
My ultimate English gin
The Lakes has created something truly special with this London Dry at 46%. It captures the wild beauty of the Lake District in every sip. Juniper, local herbs, and remarkable depth make this my favourite English gin.
Wild Cumbrian botanicals
The Lakes Gin feels genuinely wild and untamed. At 46% the local botanicals create a London Dry that is herbaceous, slightly fruity, and wonderfully complex. A true taste of the English countryside.
