Roku Japanese Craft Gin: Seasonal Precision From Suntory's House of Harmony
Contemporary 43% ABV ABV Suntory SpiritsSix botanicals, endless depth
The genius of Roku is how six Japanese botanicals create such complexity. Cherry blossom, yuzu zest, green tea freshness — each reveals itself in sequence. The delicate yuzu echo on the finish is beautiful. At 43%, a Contemporary gin of rare elegance.
Japanese craft at its best
The six Japanese botanicals — sakura, yuzu, sencha tea, gyokuro tea, sansho pepper, and sakura leaf — create something genuinely unique. At 43% the smooth, layered palate is a pleasure. The cherry blossom on the nose is gorgeous.
Cherry blossom perfection
The sakura sweetness with sencha tea astringency is inspired. Suntory have brought their whisky-making precision to gin with extraordinary results. At 43% it's smooth and layered with a beautiful yuzu brightness.
Beautiful and delicate
Roku is a gin to contemplate. The green tea freshness, warm cinnamon, and floral-citrus lift on the nose lead to a palate of sakura, yuzu, and sansho pepper. Gentle and refined at 43%.
Suntory's gin triumph
From the makers of Yamazaki whisky comes a Contemporary gin of real distinction. The cherry blossom and yuzu at 43% are captivating, and the sansho pepper warmth on the medium-long finish is lovely.
The finest Japanese gin
Roku at 43% is Suntory's masterpiece. The cherry blossom, yuzu, sencha tea, and sansho pepper create a Contemporary gin of extraordinary beauty and depth. The smooth, layered palate rewards slow sipping, and the medium-long finish with green tea dryness and yuzu echo is haunting. Perfection from Japan.
Subtle to a fault
Roku is beautifully made at 43% with cherry blossom, yuzu, and green tea, but the overall profile is so delicate it can get lost in a G&T. The sakura sweetness and sencha astringency are lovely neat, but I wish the sansho pepper had more bite. Too gentle for my preference.
