Interesting Historical Piece

While I appreciate the historical significance, the flavour profile has softened over the decades. The Old Tom sweetness is pleasant but the botanical intensity has faded somewhat. More of a curiosity than a daily drinker.

Remarkable Preservation

For a spirit bottled nearly 80 years ago, this Robert Burnett Old Tom is in astonishing condition. The classic sweetened gin profile comes through beautifully, and the 45.6% ABV gives it real backbone.

Once in a Lifetime Pour

Absolutely extraordinary. This 1947 Robert Burnett Old Tom delivers layers of complexity — gentle sweetness, rich juniper, and a silky texture that modern Old Toms can only aspire to. At 45.6% it is perfectly weighted. Truly unforgettable.

Vintage Old Tom Charm

There is something magical about sipping a gin from 1947. The Old Tom sweetness is mellow and refined, with a depth of flavour that modern gins rarely achieve. A collector's dream.

Smooth Vintage Sipper

The smoothness at 45.6% is remarkable for its age. Classic Old Tom character with a gentle sweetness that rounds everything out. A proper conversation piece for gin enthusiasts.

Wonderful Time Capsule

A fascinating glimpse into mid-century gin-making. The Old Tom style sweetness is elegant rather than cloying, and there are lovely herbal undertones throughout. Treat it with respect — sip it neat.
