Cascading Citrus

The way the lemon and orange peel cascade across the palate is beautifully judged. The bold juniper framework supports everything, the cassia adds warmth, and at 42% ABV the liquorice sweetness is a nice surprise.

Nutmeg Warmth

The nutmeg warmth on the nose sets the tone for a gin of real depth. The bold juniper opening cascades into citrus and gentle cassia, with rounded liquorice sweetness adding complexity. At 42% ABV it's a gin of serious quality.

Orris Root Elegance

The whisper of powdery orris root on the nose is a lovely touch. It adds a floral elegance to the bold juniper and bright citrus. At 42% the medium to long clean juniper-citrus fade is satisfying and clean.

Dependable Excellence

Portobello Road delivers a clean juniper opening with bright lemon peel, nutmeg warmth, and powdery orris root. At 42% ABV the bold juniper with cascading citrus and gentle cassia warmth is excellent. A London Dry you can always rely on.

Solid But Familiar

Portobello Road is a well-made London Dry at 42% with good juniper and citrus. The orris root and nutmeg add interest but the overall profile is fairly conventional. Good quality but doesn't distinguish itself from the crowd.

A London Classic

Portobello Road No. 171 is London Dry at its finest. Bold juniper, cascading citrus, nutmeg warmth, powdery orris, rounded liquorice, gentle cassia — all perfectly balanced at 42%. The medium to long clean finish is immaculate. This is what London Dry gin was born to be.

Versatile London Dry

This is one of those gins that works in absolutely everything. G&T, Martini, Negroni — the bold juniper and clean citrus at 42% ABV adapt to any serve. The dry spice finish is clean and satisfying.
