Extraordinary Strength

At 55% this gin commands respect. The saffron adds an earthy, exotic depth that's unlike anything else. Despite the high ABV, the botanical balance is excellent. A gin to sip slowly and appreciate.

Gin for Whisky Drinkers

If you appreciate cask-strength whisky, you'll love Old Raj at 55%. The saffron adds a complexity that rewards slow exploration. With a splash of water, the botanicals bloom beautifully. Exceptional.

Bold and Exotic

The saffron-infused character is genuinely unique in the gin world. At 55% ABV it's powerful stuff but remarkably smooth. The juniper cuts through beautifully and the spice is warming and complex.

A Gin Like No Other

Old Raj at 55% is a singular creation. The saffron infusion gives it extraordinary depth and character, the juniper is bold and assertive, and the ABV delivers an intensity that's utterly thrilling. This is gin elevated to an art form.

Saffron Powerhouse

Old Raj at 55% is not for the faint-hearted. The saffron gives it that distinctive golden colour and an exotic warmth that's absolutely captivating. This is a serious gin for serious gin drinkers.

The Saffron Difference

That golden saffron hue isn't just for show — you can genuinely taste it. It adds warmth, earthiness, and a fascinating complexity. At 55% ABV it's intense but beautifully made. Add a drop of water to open it up.

Too Intense for Casual Drinking

At 55% ABV this is genuinely difficult to drink casually. The saffron is interesting but overwhelming, and the heat from the alcohol dominates. It's well made but more of an experience than a pleasure for me.
