Mombasa Club Gin
London Dry 41.5% ABVExcellent with Tonic
Add a quality tonic and the angelica root, cassia bark, and coriander really come alive. The spice is aromatic and warming without being aggressive. One of the most satisfying G&Ts I've had.
Spice Route in a Bottle
Mombasa Club delivers gorgeous warm spice — the cassia bark is prominent and beautifully balanced with coriander seed. The angelica root grounds everything nicely. At 41.5% it's smooth and incredibly drinkable.
Great Winter Gin
When the temperature drops, Mombasa Club is what I reach for. The warm cassia bark and earthy angelica root create a cosy, spiced character that's perfect by the fire. Good body at 41.5%.
Spice Dominates Juniper
The cassia bark and coriander are lovely but they rather overshadow the juniper at 41.5%. For a London Dry I expect juniper to lead, and here the spice takes the spotlight. Well made but the balance isn't quite right for me.
Spiced Perfection
Mombasa Club is a masterclass in spice-led gin. The cassia bark, coriander seeds, and angelica root are in perfect harmony, creating warmth and depth without losing the essential gin character. At 41.5% it's impeccably balanced. Outstanding.
Warming and Complex
The cassia bark really shines here, adding a cinnamon-like warmth that makes this perfect for cooler evenings. The coriander seeds contribute a gentle citrus spice. A London Dry with real personality.
Colonial-Era Inspiration
The cassia bark and coriander seeds give this a warm, spicy character that nods to the trade routes that inspired it. Angelica root adds earthy depth. A distinctive London Dry at 41.5%.
