The Zest edition of Mermaid at 40% ABV is a citrus explosion in the best possible way. Bright lemon, lime, and grapefruit notes dance over a London Dry juniper base. The Isle of Wight rock samphire adds a unique coastal edge. Superb.

Mermaid Zest at 40% is pure summer. The citrus notes are vivid and uplifting, the London Dry base is clean and crisp, and the coastal botanical character adds just enough intrigue. One of my favourite warm-weather gins.

Citrus Overdose
The zest concept at 40% delivers on the citrus promise perhaps too enthusiastically. The lemon and lime dominate to the point where the London Dry juniper backbone gets lost. I prefer the original Mermaid for better balance.

Island Perfection
Mermaid Zest at 40% is the finest expression from the Isle of Wight distillery. The citrus notes are absolutely electric — bright, fresh, and impossibly vivid — while the rock samphire and London Dry juniper add depth and coastal character. Every sip tastes like sunshine and sea spray. My favourite citrus gin by a country mile.
