Remarkable Vintage Spirit

Opening a 1950s Gilbey's is always an event. At 46.2% this London Dry retains good character — junipery, slightly herbal, with a smoothness that comes from decades of gentle oxidation. A gin to savour slowly.

The Finest Gilbey's Ever

This 1950s Gilbey's London Dry at 46.2% is the greatest expression of the brand I have ever tasted. The juniper is deep and resinous, the citrus bright, and the overall complexity is staggering. This is London Dry gin at its mid-century pinnacle. An absolute treasure.

Superior Vintage Expression

Even better than the 1960s bottling, this 1950s Gilbey's at 46.2% has a richness and complexity that is simply outstanding. The London Dry character is vivid and commanding. How the mighty have fallen — modern Gilbey's is a shadow of this.

Incredible Preservation

For a gin bottled over 70 years ago, this 1950s Gilbey's at 46.2% is in superb condition. The London Dry profile is still bold and characterful, with deep juniper and a long, warming finish.

Post-War Gin Quality

Gilbey's from the 1950s at 46.2% showcases the quality of post-war British gin production. Full-bodied, juniper-forward, and impressively smooth for its age. A wonderful piece of gin history.

Fifties Gilbey's Splendour

This 1950s Gilbey's at 46.2% is magnificent. The London Dry profile from this era has an intensity and depth that the modern brand cannot approach. Bold juniper, rich citrus, and an incredibly smooth finish.

Collector's Piece

Fascinating as a historical artefact, though the 1950s Gilbey's at 46.2% has inevitably softened over the decades. The London Dry character is still discernible but the botanical brightness has faded. More interesting as a collectible than a drinking experience.
