Bobby's Schiedam Dry Gin
Genever 42% ABV ABV Herman Jansen Distillery, SchiedamIncredible in a Cocktail
Bobby's transforms cocktails. The lemongrass and cubeb pepper give a G&T real excitement, and the malt wine depth works wonders in a Negroni. At 42% ABV the botanicals are vivid but not overwhelming.
A Genuinely Original Spirit
Bobby's Schiedam is unlike anything else. The Indonesian-Dutch botanical fusion — lemongrass, clove, cubeb pepper, coriander — over a rich malt wine base creates something of extraordinary character at 42%. The medium-long finish is sublime. A true original.
Not Quite Gin, Not Quite Genever
Bobby's falls between two stools for me. The lemongrass and clove are lovely, but the malt wine richness at 42% makes it feel more like a genever than a gin. If you're expecting a classic dry gin, this will surprise you. Not unpleasantly, but still.
Dutch-Indonesian Fusion
The cultural crossover between Schiedam genever tradition and Indonesian spice is genius. Lemongrass, clove, cubeb pepper — all enhanced by the rich malt wine base. The fading lemongrass finish is gorgeous at 42% ABV.
Lemongrass Star Turn
The vivid lemongrass on the palate is sensational — bright, fresh, and assertive. The malt wine base adds a chewy richness and the clove warmth is beautifully balanced. A Genever-style gin with real personality at 42%.
East Meets West Beautifully
Bobby's fusion of Indonesian and Dutch botanicals is inspired. The bright lemongrass and warm clove meet grainy malt wine and earthy juniper. At 42% ABV the cubeb pepper adds a wonderful spicy warmth. Unique and delicious.
Malt Wine Depth
The malt wine base gives Bobby's a chewy, rich texture that London Drys simply can't match. The lemongrass adds vivid freshness, the clove brings warmth, and the coriander rounds things off. Excellent at 42%.
