Old Tom's inherent sweetness isn't really for me. While the lemon peel and coriander are pleasant, the liquorice sweetness and soft rounded profile at 40% feel a bit cloying. I know it's true to style, but I prefer my gin dry.

Every other Old Tom gin is measured against Hayman's and none surpass it. The candied lemon peel, gentle juniper, liquorice sweetness, and warm cinnamon create a gin of extraordinary character. The medium, warm finish is perfection. A genuine classic.
